Public Spaces Protection Orders
Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) are orders that can be put in place to deal with a particular nuisance in a particular area that is affecting the quality of life for those in the local community.
Orders can apply to everyone, or to certain people, and can be restricted to specific times.
A PSPO can not last longer than 3 years, but can be renewed if necessary.
Failure to comply with any of the requirements set out in the order, can result in a fine, or fixed penalty notice.
