This indicator provides us with a measure of our performance regarding how quick we are to process planning applications. It also helps us to check the quality of decisions being made by the local planning authority.
Applications which fall into the category of 'other' are: change of use, householders applications, advertisement consent, listed building consent, conservation area consent and certificates of lawful development.
This is a former statutory indicator that was linked to the central government drive to ensure local planning authorities determined planning applications in a timely manner.
