Timetable
On 4 March 2026 the government published legislation and guidance requiring all local planning authorities to change the way in which they prepare a local plan.
Pendle Borough Council was one of 39 local planning authorities identified in the guidance on the rollout of the new local plan-making system, required to publish a notice of intention to commence local plan preparation by 30 June 2026 and to publish a Gateway 1 self-assessment by 31 October 2026.
