Second grey bin
In some circumstances you may be able to get a second grey bin for none recyclable waste.
To qualify for an extra grey bin you must meet one of the following:
- Someone in the house has a medical condition which produces extra waste.
- (We offer a seperate service for the collection of clinical waste which is hazardous or infectious. Find out about clinical waste and how to make a clinical waste collection request.)
- There are six or more people permanently living in the house (we would need the names and date of birth for everyone).
- There are five or less people permanently living in the house but there are exceptional circumstances such as young children in nappies.
If you meet one of these and would like to request a new bin, please use the request a new bin form and chose 'extra grey bin' from the list of options.
We will need to check you are recycling as much waste as possible.
It can take up to six weeks to process your application.
