Crisis Payments
If a crisis means you are experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for financial support.
The Crisis Fund can help with:
- Emergency fuel payments
- Food vouchers or essential household supplies
- Furniture/ appliances
- Rent/ housing crisis
- Essential transport
- Priority debt (e.g. Council tax)
- Essential utilities costs
- Heating Oil/ LPG costs
Who can apply?
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be a resident within the borough of Pendle
- Be experiencing an immediate crisis due to a recent unexpected financial shock from:
- Disaster
- Accident or health emergency
- Household relationship breakdown
- Essential item breakdown
- Unexpected loss of income
- On a low income (annual household income of less than £36,000)
- Have savings of less than £1,000
How to apply?

You will need to provide the following evidence so please have this to hand:
- At least one month of recent bank statements for all open current and savings accounts held by adults in your household.
- Statements must be dated within the last two months and must clearly show your name, address, account number and transactions in date order.
