Two workshops are taking place this month to give local people another chance to have their say on the future of Barnoldswick and Earby.

Councillor Asjad MahmoodA long-term project which will guide future regeneration in the towns over the next 10-15 years is now well underway.

And draft masterplans are being developed with input and ideas from local people on how best to transform what their local town centre offers.

Councillor Asjad Mahmood, Leader of Pendle Borough Council, said: “Following feedback from local people we’ve organised more workshops for people living in Barnoldswick and Earby to get involved.

“An expert team from PLACED will present their findings and get feedback on how they are responding to people’s views through their developing plans, visions and ideas.

“Barnoldswick and Earby have not had masterplans before, so this is a fantastic opportunity to create ambitious visions for their future which we hope will boost new investment and development in the towns.

“It’s so important that they understand your priorities so please come along and feedback on the vision for your town.”

“The workshops last for two hours, and we’d like people to attend for the whole session if possible.”

The sessions are taking place on:

  • Wednesday 20 September, 6-8pm at Linden Community Hall, Earby
  • Tuesday 26 September, 6-8pm at Barnoldswick Civic Hall
