An Explore and Engage Futures Fair is being held next month for all Year 10 pupils in Pendle.

The event, to be held at The Muni Theatre in Colne, on Thursday 2 October, has been organised by Pendle Borough Council.
Students will be attending from Marsden Heights Community College, Pendle Vale College, Ss John Fisher and Thomas More Roman Catholic High School, Colne Park High School, Colne Primet Academy and West Craven High School.
Councillor David Whipp, Leader of Pendle Borough Council, said: “The entire year group of students from all six of Pendle’s high schools will be attending the event, which we hope will help them each find their future pathway – whether that’s an apprenticeship, A-Levels or T-Levels.
“We will have representatives from numerous local businesses there showcasing their trades and offering help and advice to inspire the pupils for their future careers.”
Businesses attending will include Silentnight, Daisy Communications, Farnworth Rose Solicitors, D&M Creative and Sovereign, as well as public sector services such as North West Ambulance Service, Lancashire Skills Hub and Pendle Borough Council.
Asjad Mahmood, Deputy Leader of Pendle Borough Council and Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth, Development and Regeneration, added: “We are looking forward to welcoming all Pendle’s Year 10 pupils who have reached a crucial stage in their academic studies of choosing a career path to follow.
“Hopefully this day will be very useful in helping them move forward with their decisions.”
