Pendle residents urged to check voter registration details

Published Tuesday, 3rd September 2024

Residents are being asked to look out for a form from Pendle Borough Council asking whether your details on the electoral register are correct.

Known as the annual canvass, this step ensures that the Council can keep the electoral register up to date. Nelson Town Hall

It also means it can identify any residents who are not registered to vote so that they don’t miss out on having their say on who represents them.

Andrea Mullin, Elections and Registration Manager for Pendle Borough Council, said: “It’s so important that everyone looks out for the form which is being sent out to all homes across the borough.

“The annual canvass is our way of making sure that the information on the electoral register for every address is accurate and up to date.

“If you’ve moved recently, it’s particularly important that you check whether you’re registered at your new home.”

Residents are asked to follow the instructions which are sent with the form.
