Time to renew your garden waste subscription

If you are signed up to Pendle Borough Council’s collection scheme, your current green bin subscription ends on 30 June 2024.

The cost to renew is the same as last year - £41 per bin.

The period covered by the new subscription is from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. There are no collections in December, January and February.

Garden waste is collected fortnightly, on the same day as your recycling. For rural properties, it is collected on the same day as your refuse.

Gardeners who are not currently on the scheme can also sign up now. 

David Walker, Pendle Borough Council's Assistant Director of Operational Services, said: “At just over £2 per collection, it’s a cost-effective and eco-friendly way to recycle your garden waste.

“People on the scheme need to pay by Monday 10 June if they want to continue getting their green bin emptied and not miss any collections from 1 July onwards.”
