Pendle Borough Council has signed up to take part in Pendleside Hospice’s Corporate Challenge for 2024.

Corporate Challenge

The local authority will be joining scores of other local businesses in raising as much money as possible for the local cause.

This is the first year Pendle Borough Council has taken part in the challenge.

From 1 June to 30 September, Council staff will be organising and taking part in a whole host of fundraising activities and events.

Rose Rouse, Chief Executive of Pendle Borough Council, said: “This year we are celebrating 50 years of Pendle - the place, the people and our shared values.

“With this in mind, we are hoping to collectively, as ‘Team Pendle’, complete 50 challenges in four months!

“I’m sure lots of staff will get behind this and come up with lots of fun ways to raise money – whether it’s organising a wear a wig to work day, doing a skydive or as a team, completing 50 laps of Pendle Hill!

“I’m looking forward to hearing – and possibly taking part in – the creative and ingenious ideas I know the staff will come up with.

“Not only will we be raising money for this local charity which I know is very close to a lot of people’s hearts, but it will also be great for team building among staff.”
