Council Leader wishes King Charles well on behalf of borough

Following the news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, the Leader of Pendle Borough Council is wishing him well and a speedy recovery.
Councillor Asjad Mahmood said: “On behalf of Pendle Borough Council, I would like to express my sincere wishes for safe and successful treatment, which I am sure is echoed by the people of Pendle.”
During The King’s recent hospital procedure for a benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was found. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
Councillor Mahmood added: “It is good to hear His Majesty remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
“We wish him well and hope he will be feeling healthy and strong again soon.”
