Warm and welcome places

There are a number of warm and welcoming spaces across Pendle where you can shelter so you don’t have to put the heating on at home.

Colne Open Door Centre

Colne Open Door is welcoming people to its snack bar at 1 Great George Street, BB8 0SY

10am - 2pm for soup and a roll and a warm drink.

in-situ

Come along to In-Situ for a warm and welcome space, a brew and library space in the project area:

  • every Wednesday from 10pm until 1pm between 9 November and 14 December

In-Situ, The Garage, (across from the leisure box) Northlight, GlenWay, Brierfield, BB9 5NH.

Lancashire County Council libraries

Libraries across Lancashire are warm and welcome spaces over the winter months. You can:

  • get a warm drink 
  • use the computers and Wi-Fi 
  • plug in your phone or laptop 
  • find out about events and activities
  • get information and advice from trained staff

Nelson Town Council Warm Hub

The Revive Cafe opens its doors every day from 10am to 4pm. Visitors will be able to access:

  • a warm space
  • newspapers
  • free wi-fi
  • free warm drinks and light snacks
  • a microwave (to heat your own food)
  • toaster
  • board games
  • books

The Revive cafe is at the Unity Well Being Centre, Vernon Street, Nelson, BB9 9DE.

Pendle Family Zone

Pendle Family Zone are running Warm and Welcome sessions. You can play, read and chat with other families, and get a free hot drink and toast.

Pendle Leisure Trust

Pendle Leisure Trust are offering Stay Warm with us this November sessions for people aged 60 and over.

West Craven Baptist Church

Visit for free tea, coffee and biscuits. Children welcome! Open as follows:

  • Barnoldswick building on Manchester Road (level access from North Street) Mondays 2.00pm to 4.00pm
  • Earby building, Mount Zion on Water Street Wednesdays 1pm to 4pm
