Pendle Developer Register
In order to provide a choice of homes the Government has asked Councils to provide a range of development sites for individuals to build on as well as small developers.
Anyone who is interested in developing in Pendle can access potential development sites owned by us, by completing the Pendle Developer Register.
What is the Register?
It is a list of developers who meet certain requirements. It is managed by our partner, Liberata, who provide support to developers, and manage the process of releasing sites.
How do I get on the Register?
Fill in our Developer Register enquiry form, if you would like us to include you on the Register.
The Register is open to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) only. We define an SME as a company with less than 250 employees and a turnover of less than £50 million a year.
Developers must fulfil one of the following criteria:
- Developers based or operating in Pendle
- Developers who are currently working in adjoining boroughs who have not developed in Pendle before
- Building contractors based or operating in Pendle who are currently working on smaller schemes but who want to move into residential development
How will the sites be offered?
Sites which we decide are suitable for small residential developments will be offered via tender exclusively to developers who are on the Register.
We want to make sure that sites are developed in reasonable timescales, and that the borough receives the wider benefits from the developers, through their use of local workforce and suppliers, and offer of opportunities for training.
We will offer free pre-application planning advice to help developers to get full residential planning permission.
We will also provide support to you when you are applying to get on the Register.
