Register or sign in for your online Council Tax, Benefits and Business Rates Account

The way you access your Council Tax, Benefits and Business Rates account has changed.

If you already have an account for Council Tax, Benefits or Business Rates, you will need to set it up again through the new system.

You will need to register for a My Account on our website.

When you have registered and logged in, choose:

  • 'My Council Tax account',
  • ‘My Benefits account',
  • or 'My Business rates account'.

You will need the following documents to link to your Council Tax, Benefits or Business Rates account:

  • Account reference
    • Council Tax reference (6 digits before -)
    • Business Rates (7 digits before -)
  • Full Name
  • Phone contact
  • Post Code
  • Bank Account details

When you have linked to your account you will not need to enter these details again.

The next time you login to My Account and select My Council Tax, My Benefits or My Business Rates account you will go straight to your account information. (You will need to select 'Allow' each time.)

You can also access a range of council services from your My Account including:

  • making a booking
  • requesting a service
  • making a payment
  • tracking progress of a case.

Register for an account

After registering you will be taken to your My Account account where you'll find a link to connect Your Council Tax, Benefits or Busines Rates.

 

Sign in to your account

Once signed in you will be able to access Your Council Tax, Benefits or Business Rates.
