Sports facilities

Two bowling greens are generally used from April to October by Thomas Street Bowling Club who use the greens as their home base for league fixtures and for casual use.  

One of the greens is floodlit allowing the club to use the facility for night games and during the winter months. 

The greens are free to use and are open to everyone. Woods are not provided and users must take their own. 

There are two crown green bowling greens and a community room, including a small kitchen. The community room is also used as a meeting place. The club allows people to meet and build up a camaraderie and friendship whilst enjoying a competitive sport that can be continued later on in life.  

Thomas Street Bowling Club run the following clubs:

  • Junior, Saturday morning club for children 8-18 year olds, 10.00am - 11.30am Free Tuition - just turn up
  • Help the Aged, Thursday afternoon 2.00pm - 3.00pm, Free Tuition - just turn up
  • FAKT Group, Fathers and Kids together attending bonding sessions

Facilities
