Election results - 2023 - Voter ID data

We monitored the number of people who brought photo ID to vote in person in the local elections in Pendle on Thursday 4 May 2023.

Data shows that 99.7% of electors who came to vote in person brought photo ID that met the newly introduced voter ID requirements.

Collated figures across Pendle show 14,553 electors voted at our 56 polling stations.

At the end of polling day, 39 electors who tried to vote in a polling station were not given a ballot paper because they did not have an accepted form of photo ID – 0.3%.

The figures also show while 193 electors were initially turned away, 154 returned with acceptable ID and were able to vote.

This means 79.8% of those initially turned away returned and were issued with a ballot paper.
