National Register of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Revocations (NR3)
The Government has introduced a national register of hackney carriage and private hire driver cancellations and refusals (NR3). We will check all applicants against NR3 to see if a licence has previously been refused or revoked by another local authority. If your application is refused or your licence is revoked, we will add your details to the NR3 register.

How to get a hackney carriage or private hire drivers' licence
To hold a hackney carriage or private hire driver’s licence, we must be satisfied that you are a fit and proper person.
