Trader disputes

Disputes or complaints may arise between traders over a number of issues, most commonly in relation to duplication of lines or goods being sold or the actions of another trader.

Traders should try to amicably and fairly resolve any issue with the other party before involving the market manager or his/her staff. The market manager will act as arbiter on disputes involving trader conflict and will, where necessary, make reference to the trader's user clause and the terms and conditions of occupation.

Where traders are not happy with an outcome from such an intervention they may refer the matter to the Property Services section within Liberata for a second opinion.

A trader has the same rights as any one else and can make a formal complaint directly to us where they feel an issue has not been resolved fairly and quickly.
