Remembrance Sunday and celebration of Prophet Muhammed's birthday

In celebration of Interfaith Week (10 – 17 November), Building Bridges Pendle and the Pendle Forum of Faiths is inviting staff to join them for the Remembrance Sunday parade in Nelson on 10 November. Remembrance Sunday and Prophet Muhammed’s Birthday uniquely coincide this year.

Attendees will march alongside civic members, the military and veterans to mark both important occasions.  Imam Khalid Mehmood from the Central Ghausia Masjid will join Reverend Guy Jamieson from St Paul’s Church and have an input in the service.  This show of unity will also make a positive statement of the coming together of two faiths, to show their respect and prayers for those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
