Picnic Areas in Pendle

Parks and Recreation Services maintains four picnic areas:

Red Lane, Colne

Offering peaceful, eye-catching views overlooking the reservoir at Foulridge.

Occasionally, the sailing club can be seen with their boats on the lake.

Red Lane Picnic Site is highly recommended for a visit.

Coolham Lane, Earby

With stunning views overlooking the town of Earby, the valley can be seen for miles and even the Yorkshire Dales hills can be seen on a clear day.

Coolham Lane Picnic Site is a popular location with walkers, local visitors and people passing through on the back road from Colne to Old Skipton Road. So why not take a look for yourself?

Village Centre, Barley

 The picnic site in Barley is wheelchair accessible.

 There is a small cafe open to the public.

Parks Byelaws

From 1st June 2009 Pendle's parks, open spaces and children's playgrounds will have new byelaws which will help make them much safer places to visit.
