Information

Valley Gardens was transferred to Barnoldswick Town Council but we still maintain it.

Valley Gardens Park was first awarded a Green Flag in 2008, and has maintained its flag ever since. It is close to the centre of town and has pleasant wooded walkways along the side of Butts Beck.

Valley Gardens was once a dilapidated small open space. However, with the starting of an enthusiastic group of volunteers the park has been transformed into the exciting green-space we have today.

Picnic Area

The park has picnic benches on the grassed area next to the river.

Disabled Facilities

Many of the footpaths and walkways in the park are suitable for people with low mobility.

The playground offers facilities for disabled users.

Play area

There are six pieces of equipment, including disabled access swings.

  • Infant: suitable for 3 to 5 year olds
  • Junior: suitable for 5 to 14 year olds

Friends Group

Valley Gardens has a very active Working Group who work alongside us to maintain the high standard of the park and help organise events and activities within the park itself.
