Car Parking

Ball Grove Park has two car parks.

One is north of the park, and is accessed from Ball Grove Drive, off Keighley Road.

The car park is open:

  • April to September: 8.00 am - 7.00 pm
  • October to March: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

The other car park is at the east of the park next to the Cotton Tree pub and is accessed from Winewall Road, off Cotton Tree Lane.

Information

Ball Grove Park was awarded a Green Flag in 2014. The main attractions of the park are the children's play area, the millpond and the lake.

A community woodland and the Fearndene Way run through the park with walks from Ball Grove right up through the nature walk to Wycoller Country Park.

Picnic Area

Ball Grove boasts an excellent picnic area with many picnic benches available to enjoy your picnic and watch the local wildlife in the park and enjoy the relaxing and tranquil surroundings.

Fishing Club

The fishery is managed by Pendle, Burnley and District Anglers’ Association in partnership with Pendle Borough Council.

Day tickets are available on the bank, but you will need an Environment Agency Rod Licence.

Night fishing is not allowed.

No alcohol permitted.

You must adhere to the Club’s rules at all times and the club’s decision is final.

Disabled Facilities

Many of the footpaths and walkways are suitable for people with low mobility.

There are designated disabled car parking bays.

The playground has facilities for disabled users.

There are 8 pieces of equipment available, suitable for 5 to 14 year olds.

Friends Group

Friends Group

Ball Grove has a very active Friends Group who work alongside us maintaining the high standard of the park and help organise activities within the park itself.

The Friends group gets involved with regular volunteer days which involve the community in managing the local environment and to improve the site for both wildlife and visitors.
