Changes to bin collections

Due to the predicted weather forecast for Thursday 25th and Friday 26th June 2026, bin collections will start one hour earlier on those days.

In the interest of health and wellbeing for our staff, they will start their rounds at 6.30am (instead of the usual 7.30am).

This applies to properties in Zones 4 (parts of Colne) and 9 (Higham, Fence and parts of Nelson) on Thursday and Zones 5 (parts of Nelson and Colne) and 10 (parts of Nelson) on Friday.

The changes will impact on refuse, recycling and commercial collections.

Please make sure your bins are put out early in the morning - or the evening before - and leave access to streets and properties clear. Thank you for your cooperation.
