Corporate Peer Challenge
The Local Government Association (LGA) coordinates peers challenges for councils. Corporate Peer Challenges (CPC) are an opportunity for reflection and learning to support councils.
In February 2022, a team of peers from different councils visited us to take part in a peer challenge. This was our second corporate peer challenge. The first CPC took place in November 2015.
Summary of 2022 challenge outcome
LGA Corporate Peer Challenge: Pendle Borough Council
The peer team prepared by looking at documents and information so they were familiar with the council and the challenges we are facing.
The team spent two and a half days at Pendle Borough Council, during which they:
- gathered information and views from more than 30 meetings,
- spoke to more than 56 people including staff, councillors and external stakeholders.
- attended a policy and resources committee meeting
