Levelling Up for Pendle

£6.5m funding to revitalise Colne 

Colne has received £6.5m from round 1 of the Government’s Levelling Up Fund for a range of projects in the heart of the historic market town. 

This will drive up visitors, transform the local transport network and make Colne an even richer and vibrant cultural destination. 

• The centrepiece of these plans is a new Heritage Quarter with three fully renovated and restored theatres – the Muni Theatre, the Little Theatre and Pendle Hippodrome. 
• The historic derby Arms pub – currently standing empty and unused – will also be given a new lease of life. 
• Colne Market Hall will be refurbished and new town centre living will be developed
