Bin shortages

We have no new bins in stock at the moment. There is a national shortage of plastic, and our bin supplier has not been able to make the bins we ordered because of a machine breaking down. We cannot get any more bins until the middle of July.

If you need to order a new or replacement bin, please come back to the website mid-July. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

What can I do with my waste?

If you have no bin at all, you can take your household waste to a Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)

If you can't take your waste to a HWRC, and you are waiting for a grey bin (for non-recyclable rubbish) you can put out up to 4 bags of refuse per fortnight on collection day.

If you can't take your waste to a HWRC, and you're waiting for a blue bin (for paper/ cardboard) you can put your recycling out in a cardboard box on collection day.

We can only take mixed recycling (plastic/glass/cans) in a brown bin or old green box for safety reasons. If you don't have a brown bin or an old green box, please keep your recycling until the brown bins are back in stock.
