Remembrance parades and services in Pendle

People in Pendle are invited to pay their respects to those who lost their lives at war.
Everyone is welcome to join Pendle councillors at wreath laying
ceremonies on Remembrance Sunday, 13 November.
People can also join in a two minute silence on Armistice Day on Friday 11
November at 11am at the cenotaph between Nelson Library and the Town
Hall.
As the 11th November falls on a workday, Pendle Council and Liberata staff and visitors to Council buildings are also invited to observe the silence to mark their respects.
A service will also take place at the memorial stone in Barley on Friday 11 November at 11am.
On Sunday 13th, ceremonies are taking place in Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Brierfield, Blacko, Colne, Earby, Fence, Foulridge, Higham, Laneshaw Bridge, Nelson, Newchurch, Salterforth and Trawden.

The Worshipful the Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Rosemary Carroll, will be laying
a wreath on the Colne cenotaph at 11am.
The Mayor is also leading a parade from New Road Community Centre in
Earby to the cenotaph at the Memorial Grounds in Sough for a service at 2.30pm.
After the wreath laying the parade will return to the Community Centre.
Councillor Rosemary Carroll said: “Remembrance Sunday is such a poignant day
and means so much to so many people.
“We’re inviting people in all parts of Pendle to join with us in remembering the brave men and women who have given their lives for our country."
