Vaccination bus comes to Barnoldswick

A vaccination bus is coming to Barnoldswick on Friday (24 June) this week to give residents an opportunity to get protected for summer.

The bus will be at the Co-op Car Park on Rainhall Road between 10am and 4pm and is offering first, second and booster doses for everyone aged five and over.

Both Moderna and Pfizer vaccinations will be available and children aged five to 15 will need parental consent.

Councillor Nadeem Ahmed, Leader of Pendle Borough Council said: “Many people are making plans for the summer holidays.

“For some this is going abroad and for others it’s getting together with friends and family locally.

“To help everyone get ready for summer, the vaccination bus will be in Pendle a number of times in the coming weeks.

“There’s no need to book an appointment, you can just turn up between 10am and 4pm.”

For anyone who can’t make it to Barnoldswick, the vaccination bus will also be in:

  • Colne town centre (by the market hall) on Friday 8 July
  • Nelson town centre (outside Nelson Town Hall) on Friday 15 July

As we learn to live safely with Covid-19, there are steps we can all take to help reduce the risk of catching the virus and passing it on to others.

  • Try to stay at home if you’re unwell
  • Meet outdoors where you can or let air in if you meet indoors
  • Wear a face covering or face mask
  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser regularly
