16 and 17 year olds are now also eligible for a second dose of the vaccine. This can only be given after 12 weeks of receiving your first dose.

For anyone else 18 or over waiting to get your second jab, you only have to wait eight weeks after having your first dose.

Barkerhouse Pharmacy in Nelson is once again offering vaccine walk-in appointments. Please check Pendle Council’s website for which vaccine doses are being given, and the days and times that these are offered.

It is also offering walk-ins for anyone who is eligible for the booster and flu jabs. If you are eligible for a flu jab, then you will also be eligible to have your Covid-19 booster.
