Remembrance parades and services in Pendle

All people in Pendle are invited to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in both World Wars and in conflicts around the world since.
Everyone is welcome to join Pendle councillors at Services of Commitment and Remembrance and wreath laying ceremonies across the borough on Remembrance Sunday, 14 November.
People can also join in a two minute silence at 11am on Armistice Day, Thursday 11 November, at the cenotaph between Nelson Library and the Town Hall.
On Remembrance Sunday, ceremonies are taking place in Barley, Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Brierfield and Reedley, Blacko, Colne, Earby, Fence, Foulridge, Higham, Laneshaw Bridge, Nelson, Newchurch, Salterforth and Trawden.

His Worship the Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Neil Butterworth, will be laying the Council’s wreath at the cenotaph, between Nelson Library and the Town Hall, for a service of Remembrance on Sunday 14 November at 2pm.
He will also be laying wreaths in Barrowford and Colne.
Councillor Butterworth said: “Remembrance Sunday is such a poignant day which holds great significance for so many.
“Having previously served in the armed forces this is an important time for me, as well as for other service members, whether acting or retired.
“We are inviting people across Pendle to join us in remembering the brave men and women who have given their lives in the service of our country.”
