Latest Covid-19 data for Pendle

The number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last seven days has fallen marginally, with Pendle recording 264 new cases.

For the second week running, the age group with most new cases is 40 – 49 year olds with 44 cases. This is followed by 50 – 59 year olds with 36 cases and 20 – 29 year olds with 33 cases. 

Sadly, there have been two deaths this week (within 28 days of a positive test).  

Meanwhile the infection rate has fallen slightly to 283.2 per 100k. 

The vaccination take-up rate continues to rise in Pendle. 76.6% of adults have now had their first dose and 67.3% have had their second dose.  

Everyone is still being encouraged to get their first dose of the vaccine, including those who missed out when it was first offered. 

Taylor’s Pharmacy in Nelson are now offering a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to anyone aged 16 and over. They recommend you call in advance to book your jab.

Drop in appointments are available at Barkerhouse Pharmacy in Nelson. These are taking place between 9.15am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9.15am - 5pm on Saturdays.
