Beautician launches new business during lockdown

A Colne beauty therapist whose work has suffered throughout the pandemic has come back fighting, with the launch of a new business.
Tierney Hanson loves her job and has built up a loyal base of regular clients at Neo Vintage over the years, so was devastated when restrictions imposed throughout the pandemic meant she had to close her doors for long periods of time.
“While it was lovely to have a proper maternity leave and enjoy time with my baby boy Raife and 8-year-old son, Ryker, I missed my clients and I missed working.
“I found myself getting frustrated, so decided to channel this energy into creating a new complementary business to Neo Vintage which would help others advance in the beauty therapy industry when all this is over.”
Tierney set up the T and L Beauty Training Academy with Leanne Phillipson, who together have over 20 combined years as NVQ lecturers and assessors for the beauty therapy education sector.
"So many people have experienced job losses and furlough over the past 12 months and many of them may be looking for a new career in beauty.
“We can provide the skills and knowledge they need to take the leap.”
