Remembrance parades and services in Pendle

All people in Pendle are invited to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in both World Wars and in conflicts around the world since.
Everyone is welcome to join Pendle councillors at Services of Commitment and Remembrance and wreath laying ceremonies across the borough on Remembrance Sunday (10 November).
People can also join in a two minute silence at 11am on Armistice Day (Monday 11 November) at the cenotaph between Nelson Library and the Town Hall.
On Remembrance Sunday, ceremonies are taking place in Barley, Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Brierfield, Blacko, Colne, Earby, Fence, Foulridge, Higham, Laneshaw Bridge, Nelson, Newchurch, Salterforth and Trawden.

His Worship the Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Ken Hartley, will be laying a wreath at the war memorial in Barnoldswick after the Service of Commitment and Remembrance in the Town Square at 3pm.
He will also be laying wreaths at Nelson, Newchurch and Salterforth.
Councillor Hartley said: “Remembrance Sunday is such a poignant day which means so much to so many people.
“We are inviting people in all parts of Pendle to join with us in remembering those brave men and women who gave their lives in the service of our country.
“A two minute silence at 11am on Armistice Day (Monday 11 November) will be held at local war memorials across Pendle.”
