Reviewing places to vote in Pendle

Pendle Council has launched a review of its polling stations to ensure they meet the needs of voters.
It’s inviting residents and any interested parties to give their views on whether current venues are accessible and to suggest alternative locations.
Pendle’s polling stations are in buildings which range from schools, church halls to community centres.
Philip Mousdale, Pendle Council’s Returning Officer and Corporate Director, said:
“We want to make it as easy as possible for local people to cast their votes.
“Our review will consider how convenient our current polling stations are to get to and how easy they are to access for everyone, including people with disabilities.
“We’re keen to receive comments on current locations and suggestions for any alternative polling stations.”
All comments and suggestions need to be submitted to the Council by Friday 8th November 2019.

Every council must review its polling districts and polling places every five years.
