Pendle Council wants to know how you found voting this year

Pendle Council has launched a short survey to find out your experience of voting this year as part of the government’s voter ID trial.
And everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a draw.
On Thursday 2 May anyone who voted in person at the borough town and parish council elections needed to show an approved form of photo ID such as a passport or driving licence.
Philip Mousdale, Pendle Council’s Corporate Director and Returning Officer, said: “We took part in the pilot to test the proposed requirement of showing photo ID at polling stations.
“Our experience and feedback will ensure the government has the insight it needs to make sure that, if introduced, voter ID works for everybody.
“We’re seeking feedback from those who voted in person about how they found the process this year and whether needing photo ID affected them in any way.”
The Council ran a survey ahead of the elections to find out if residents were aware of the need for photo ID on 2 May and almost 500 people completed it.
Mrs Shirley Hartley was drawn at random and has chosen theatre tickets for two.
The post elections survey closes at midnight on Friday 17 May and will take no more than five minutes to complete.
