Survey

Life in Pendle

Pendle Council wants to hear from you about what it’s like to live in your area so it can help to make the borough a better place to live.

The survey called Life in Pendle asks what you think makes somewhere a good place to live and how satisfied you are with the Council’s services from rubbish collections to how it deals with dog fouling.

Councillor Paul White, Leader of Pendle Council, said; “Our biennial survey is a fantastic opportunity for residents directly to influence our priorities.

“We want to know what we’re doing well but we also want to hear about what we can improve so that we can really make a difference.”

In 2016 residents said that they wanted the Council to do more to tackle environmental crime including dog fouling, littering and fly-tipping.

And since then the Council has ensured that these issues have been a top priority.

Councillor White added: “In Pendle we’ve always taken environmental crime extremely seriously.

“But we’ve stepped up our efforts to take an even tougher line with those who spoil our area by fly-tipping.

“We’ve made it even easier to tell us about these issues on our website so that they go straight to the people who handle the reports.”

The survey, which is being run by independent research company Pearson Insight, is shorter than in previous years and is available on paper and online.

It takes no longer than 10 minutes to complete and will close on Friday 7 December 2018. It's easy to do - even on your smartphone or tablet.

Paper copies will be available in Nelson Town Hall, Number One Market Street and libraries and sports centres.

The online survey is available on Pendle Council’s website – www.pendle.gov.uk/lifeinpendle
