Pendle Council’s Leader has condemned last night’s attacks in Spain which have killed 14 and injured dozens in both Barcelona and Cambrils.

Councillor Mohammed Iqbal said:

“We will be flying our flags at half mast above Nelson and Colne Town Halls, in unity with other public buildings across the UK.

“Terrorist atrocities are criminal acts and those who commit them are enemies of humanity and human values.

“Our hearts go out to all the victims of this atrocity in Catalonia, their family and friends and  we stand united against terrorism.”
