Join Mayor & Mayoress for Queen’s 90th Birthday Party in Pendle!

250 Pendle people have the chance to celebrate The Queen’s 90th Birthday with the Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle on Friday 13th May.

Their Worships the Mayor and Mayoresses of Pendle, Councillor Nawaz Ahmed, Mrs. Azmat Ahmed and their daughter,

Uzma Ahmed, are hosting the special event at The ACE Centre, Nelson.

The Mayor, Councillor Nawaz Ahmed said: “It’s an honour to show our gratitude for Her Majesty’s lifetime of service by celebrating her 90th birthday. 

“As Mayor of Pendle I am keen to promote community cohesion and this is a wonderful opportunity to bring the community of Pendle together. 

There will be a sit-down buffet at 3pm on Friday 13th May 2016 and tickets are available in advance on a first come first served basis.

Free tickets (limited to a maximum of two per person) can be picked up before the event from The ACE Centre in Nelson, Colne Town Hall, Barnoldswick Civic Hall, New Road Community Centre, Earby, or Brierfield Community Centre.

This will be one of the Mayor’s last events as his Mayoral year comes to a close.

“Whilst the main focus is on Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday, it also allows me to give my thanks to the people of Pendle for their support to me over my Mayoral year,” he added.
