Published: Monday, 5th June 2017

Pendle Council is flying the St George’s Cross flags at half-mast on Nelson and Colne Town Halls as a mark of respect for the victims of the London terror attack.

Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, Leader of Pendle Council, said: “We’ve joined with all government buildings in the UK to mark this tragic event.

“We’re totally shocked and saddened at the appalling attack in London and want to express our condolences to all those affected.

“My heart goes out to the friends and families of the victims.

“We reject all forms of terrorism and extremism and stand together.”

Pendle Council is joining all councils across the country in observing a minute’s silence at 11am tomorrow (Tuesday 6 June).
