The Mayor of Pendle’s Ball 2017 has been a great success!

Over 150 people attended the charity fundraiser at Colne Muni on Friday 3rd March including mayors and mayoresses and other dignitaries from across Lancashire.

Mist Over Pendle was the theme chosen by Their Worships the Mayor and Mayoress Councillor Rosemary Carroll and Carol Belshaw-Goulthorp.

And they entered into the spirit of the occasion with black cats and broomsticks and mist rising from the stage as guests arrived!

Entertainment was provided by Pendle band Vicky and the Big Combo and the Helen Green Academy of Dance, both from Colne,  with young dancers performing as witches in a series of thrilling showcases.

Pendle’s Mayor, Councillor Carroll said:

“The Pendle Leisure Trust did a magnificent job at Colne Muni for this year’s spookily themed five course meal and local businesses and organisations generously donated prizes.

“And I’d like to thank everyone who came to have a fantastic night out whilst raising much needed funds for our chosen local charities,” she added.

This year’s charities are Pendle’s branch of the Samaritans, Pendle Women’s Refuge, Homestart, Pendle Dogs In Need and North West Blood Bikes.

The big night included a Magical Moments auction with great experiences and prizes on offer ranging from a sofa bed donated by Buoyant Upholstery and a mattress donated by Silentnight to special B&B stays at a variety of Seafood Pub Company pubs.
