Boundary Mill is the UK’s largest mill store retailer and Visit Pendle will be inside BB’s Coffee Shop on the first floor of their flagship store which is located at the end of the M65 in Pendle, Lancashire.
It will feature a large display screen where customers and visitors can view videos over a coffee or a meal, and find out what Pendle has to offer.
And there’ll be a new mini guide and lots of other free information about local attractions, walks and events which people can take away to make the most of Pendle.
“Seeing is believing,” said Leader of Pendle Council, Councillor Mohammed Iqbal .
“This is one of the most stunning areas in the UK, with a fascinating history and plenty to see and do, from cycling to walking and exploring to shopping and eating out.
“Pendle is the place to be, whether you’re a visitor or a local resident,” he said.
“Tourism is already worth £106 million to the local economy each year and these new developments will give a further boost,” said Councillor Iqbal who leads on economic development for Pendle.
“Our strategy is to work with successful local businesses and organisations to raise the profile of our area locally, regionally and nationally,” he said.
“These short films and our new mini guide will show off our assets including some great attractions,” said Tourism Officer, Mike Williams.
Councillor Iqbal will be launching the new Visit Pendle with Boundary Mill’s General Manager Sue Caunce, and Pendle Council’s Tourism Officer Mike Williams.
Richard Bannister, Executive Chairman and owner of Boundary Mill said: “The new Information point is a welcome addition to Boundary Mill in Colne, where we get over 50,000 visitors each week.
“Visitors are invited to relax and enjoy the views of Pendle Hill from BB’s Coffee Shop, whilst discovering new and historic places of interest, activities and local events in Pendle.
“We’re proud to work in partnership with Pendle Council and support the local community with this new facility, located in a key part of our store,” he said.
Boundary Mill in Colne is the flagship store for Boundary Mill which has outlets in Newcastle, Grantham, Sheffield and Walsall.
