Remember – sign up for e-billing and you could win an iPad Air!

Published: Wednesday, 4th January 2017

Pendle residents - did you know you could win an iPad Air simply by switching to receive your council tax bill by email?

Council Tax Online is available via Pendle Council’s website – www.pendle.gov.uk/doitonline - which means you can now access and manage your council tax account at a time and place which suits you.

You can:

  • sign up for e-billing
  • check how much you owe
  • make payments
  • let us know if you’ve moved
  • apply for a single person discount
  • set up to pay by Direct Debit.

The service is free, fast, reliable and secure and means you no longer have to call or visit the Council.

And if you sign up for e-billing, which means you'll receive your council tax bill by e-mail rather than through the post, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad Air2 32GB donated by Liberata.

Councillor Iqbal, Leader of Pendle Council, who is championing the service, said:  “We launched the prize draw to encourage more people to switch to e-billing.

“It will save paper so it’s better for the environment and the cost per transaction is less for the Council so it will help us to save money.”

Don’t worry, if you already receive your bill this way, you’ll automatically be entered into the draw too.

But if you're jointly liable with another person for council tax, you need to ask them to register for e-billing too. Everyone named on the bill must give permission.

If you don’t we’ll need to continue to send a paper bill through the post and you won’t be entered into the draw.

Residents must be registered for e-billing by 28 February to be entered into the prize draw.
