Pendle residents are being asked to join in ‘The Big Conversation on Care’ and give their views on what the future of adult social care should look like.

This is a chance for the people of Pendle to join the rest of the country and share their opinions and ideas.

Councillor Asjad Mahmood, Leader of Pendle Borough Council, said: “We have received a letter from Baroness Casey of Blackstock, Chair of the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care asking us to join in the conversation.

“This is our opportunity to get involved from the start and share our views on what a National Care Service in England could look like.

“It will help to answer some of the most fundamental questions about who care should be for, how we support our families and ultimately how we pay.

“Whether you use care services, care for someone, work in the sector or have opinions on how care should work in the future, you can have your say.

“Any change starts with talking properly to the people first about the choices involved.”

The work has begun with the launch of an online platform, where people can share their views and see what others think. The views shared through the platform will form part of the wider Big Conversation.
