Letcliffe Park is the only country park in Pendle commanding breathtaking panoramic views of the Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside.

The park contains a plethora of wildlife areas including a mature woodland copse and flower beds; the park also boasts a hedged bandstand and children's play area.

The open countryside which surrounds Barnoldswick can be seen from the various areas in the Park and can be explored on foot using the many footpaths which criss-cross the area. Section two of the Pendle Way passes through Letcliffe Park on its way to Earby five miles away.

Picnic Area

Letcliffe Park has a large picnic area, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside.

Viewing Point

Situated at the top of the park is a viewing platform which gives directions and places of interest to spot from the highest vantage point.


A most unusual attraction of Letcliffe Park is the 'bandstand'. This is a staged area surrounded by low, stepped privet hedges giving the effect of a spectacular 'amphitheatre'.

Disabled Facilities

Some of the footpaths and walkways in the park are suitable for people with low mobility.

The playground has facilities for disabled users.


Being surrounded by upland and moorland areas, Letcliffe is a haven for a great variety of wildlife including: Kestrel, Wood Warbler, Goldcrest, Redwings and Stoats, as well as a whole host of other animals, such as moths and butterflies.

The park boasts a spacious car park situated at the entrance to the park.
