Committee Reports, Agendas and Minutes

Planning applications are determined under the Scheme of Delegation but some will be referred to the Council's Area Committees.

The following area committees will discuss their relevant area planning applications:

• Brierfield and Reedley
• Barrowford and Western Parishes
• Nelson
• Colne and District
• West Craven

If an Area Committee wishes to make a decision that would be a significant departure from planning policy or where there would be a significant risk of costs on an appeal against the decision, they will refer the application to the Development Control Committee.

Reports for planning applications are available on the website 4 working days prior to the Area Committee meeting date. Find your area committee, click on the meeting date, and look in the Reports section for planning applications.

Once a decision has been made on an application the decision notice and a copy of the officer's report is available to view on the internet via the View Planning Applications link.
