Bus shelters: Outline
The Council is responsible for the maintenance of Colne and Earby bus stations, and the bus terminus facilities at Lanehouse Lane in Trawden, Keighley Road in Laneshaw Bridge, Station Road and Fosters Arms in Barnoldswick and one in the village of Barley.
Since 2002, Pendle Council has been part of the Burnley and Pendle Quality Bus Partnership. This partnership with Lancashire County Council and Burnley and Pendle Bus Company has provided upgraded bus waiting facilities on the Burnley-Nelson-Colne mainline route. New bus shelters have been provided and Pendle is expected to maintain these to a good standard, including interior lighting.
Nelson Interchange is maintained by Lancashire County Council.
Some bus shelters are also provided and maintained by Primesight. These are the ones which contain large advertising boards on them.
In the event of damage/vandalism to any bus shelters in Pendle, please contact Engineering and Special Projects with details of the location and nature of the damage.
However, the location of bus stops is the responsibility of Lancashire County Council. If you wish for an existing bus stop to be relocated or for another bus stop to be added to a route, please contact Lancashire County Council directly on 0845 053 0011.
