Council tax - discount: Outline
The amount of Council Tax that is paid depends on the number of people aged 18 or over living in the property. A single person's discount of 25% is available.
Other discounts up to 50% are given if a property is unoccupied or if certain exempt people are living there, e.g. students. Find out who can apply for these discounts.
