Flytipping: Outline

Bin attached to a treeThe Council has a responsibility to act on reports of flytipping to remove both the waste and locate and prosecute the offenders. Where the waste is hazardous, the council has a responsibility to ensure public safety until the waste can be safely removed.

Online services: You can complete the form below to report flytipping online.  Please provide us with as much information as possible:

  • the date, time and place of the occurrence
  • what the waste looks like and how much of it there is
  • a description of any vehicles involved along with their vehicle's registration numbers.

The person controlling the use of any vehicles involved can also be prosecuted, regardless of who is driving the vehicle. The Police also have the powers to seize vehicles used for flytipping. If you require anymore information please use the contact details provided below.
