Council tax: Outline
Council tax is payable on domestic dwellings and is charged by the local authority to pay for the services it provides. Liability for council tax usually lies with the owner or tenant of the dwelling.

The amount of Council Tax to be charged is set in February of each year for the next financial year
Paying your council tax
You can pay online, by telephone, by post or in person. Choose the payment that suits you best.
Making enquiries or changes to your account
Pendle Council provides householders with information relating to their council tax and payments. This includes information on payments, arrears, discount eligibility etc. and copies of bills.
You need to notify the council of any change of circumstances that may affect your payments.

Reductions and exemptions
