You have three choices when deciding how to vote:

  • You can vote at a polling station
  • You can vote from home (or elsewhere) via a Postal vote
  • or you can get someone else to do it via a Proxy vote

Additional information: Due to tradition, all elections in this country take place on a Thursday. Polling stations are usually open at 7am and close at 10pm.

Notices of forthcoming elections are posted at the Town Hall and at local libraries. You can also find all information on elections and voting at http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/

Shortly before election day, unless you have applied to vote by post, you will also receive a polling card from Electoral Services, outling the date and time of the election and the location of your polling station.
